Marie Powell’s adventures in castle-hopping across North Wales to explore her family roots resulted in the YA Fantasy series Last of the Gifted: Spirit Sight (Book 1) and Water Sight (Book 2). Marie is the author of more than 40 traditionally published children’s and YA books, and her award-winning short stories and poetry appear in such literary magazines as Sunlight Press, subTerrain, and Room. Among other degrees, she holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia (UBC).
