Someone’s meddling with dragons — crafting deadly imitation dragon scale baubles and kidnapping delivery drivers across the Yorkshire Dales. Worse, they’re leaving behind suspiciously dragon-like clues.

Beaufort Scales, High Lord of the Cloverly Dragons, would investigate — if he wasn’t dealing with dragon politics. So it’s up to Alice and Miriam to save the hostages, clear Mortimer’s bauble reputation, and keep the police from discovering dragons exist — all while dodging dangerously aggressive Christmas decorations.

Fortunately, they have the full support of the Toot Hansell Women’s Institute. They’ll need it.
