"Another entry from Canadian author Jo Holloway. A departure from her main series (The Immortal Voices / Green & Gold) but in the same realm. This story is told from the perspective of the Pyx that shares consciousness with a pet goose. The main human character, Alessa, is one tough cookie pushing back against the expectations of her village and family while still honoring that which is important to her. A long time friendship, a case of mistaken identity, a bully that gets what's coming to them, a couple of birds with attitude. Some laughs, some surprises, all in all a well written and enjoyable read."
"In "On Wings and Ash" we follow Alessa and her goose, Philon! Philon is a Pyx and he is the narrator of the story. That actually threw me off for the whole book, haha, I kept reverting to thinking it was Alessa's POV. Anyways, this book is about how her life completey changes in the course of one day."
