J.L. Hancock spent twenty years in the military where he toiled away in the dark corners of the government intelligence communities, learned Korean and Japanese, and conducted over one hundred combat operations with special operations forces in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Philippines. As the senior enlisted advisor over future concepts and innovation for the Navy special operations community Hancock became a well-known subject matter expert in unmanned systems, telecommunications, and helped put the first AI drone in combat. Awards for his writing including being a finalist in the Clive Cussler Adventure Writing Competition and a Gold Medal winner from the Military Writer's Society of America.
