Politics make strange bedfellows. A lady is much nicer.
When staunch Tory Lord Benjamin, aka the Brooding Baron, accidentally climbs into the carriage of a rival Whig, he meets Lady Melinda, a young woman with an avid interest in politics. While he thought it but a chance encounter, the lady has other plans.
When Lady Melinda Sommers learns the Baron’s broodiness is not so much a mood but an inability to see, she encourages him to wear his spectacles, and to see the world in a different light.
Can two people from different circles come to respect one another and maybe fall in love, or will their allegiances to different political parties tear them apart?
