I grew up in Kamloops, British Columbia, but at 25, I experienced a sexual assault. Everything I had been working toward felt impossible, so I packed my life and my cats into my car and moved to Seattle to start a new life. Eight years ago, I wasn’t thinking about writing. I wasn’t thinking about much of anything. I was suicidal. Fortunately, I found an underground psychedelic-assisted therapist who changed everything. That experience didn’t just save my life—it reshaped it. Since then, I’ve trained as a psychedelic facilitator, and somewhere along the way, THEY COULD BE SAVIORS was born. I never set out to be a writer. The idea of writing a novel wasn’t something I chased—it found me. Every piece of my novel came to me through meditation, a quiet whisper from the universe that refused to be ignored. It was a surprise, but not an accident. I believe in science. In social democracy. In equal rights for every human. And in a universal loving source that connects us all. And I believe that if the right minds open in the right way, we could change the course of the world. Maybe even save it. My writing is my way of trying.
