Payne is his name, and inflicting pain is a pleasure in and out of the bedroom.

Payne comes by his road name legitimately and for more than one reason. Eventually, after clearing up the misconceptions, Payne learns that Jayla needs his club's help. He insists he'll be the one to help her. After all, it’s his fault for her predicament. As they spend time together, they begin to explore the desires and needs Payne awoke in her the first night they were together. And Jayla learns what shaped Payne into the man he is and his dark desires. This mutual exploration leads Payne to discover Jayla is his Goddess, the only woman he sees himself spending the rest of his life with. He’ll do anything to protect and keep her.

In the end, he ends up showing someone why he has earned the name Payne in both his clubs.
