Apprentice math-mage Raj loves numbers, like all wizards.
Unlike his peers, he hates wearing black or drinking beer.
And his time is running out.

At twenty-nine, his age is the sum of three consecutive squares, the tenth prime number, and the laughingstock of the century. If he can’t get promoted soon, he will be forever-more an under-qualified magician.

To prevent this tragic fate, Raj’s mentor sends him to catch a mischievous imp infesting a local construction company. The ‘easy’ project should guarantee Raj’s promotion, but the creature flees to a dilapidated wool mill in the countryside where Eliza, a two hundred-year-young dragon, lives with her elderly aunt.

Eliza’s fire runs out just as monstrous things invade her tranquil home. But she’ll do whatever it takes to protect her auntie, even attack the scary, moustache-wearing, zombie-vampire man named Raj.

To catch the real monsters threatening the mill, Raj must keep his wits about him and move quicker than Eliza.
