ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ally Preece spent thirty years teaching legal English in Italy and became an international award-winning author in this field. A law graduate from the University of Manchester, she has always cherished her English roots, while embracing a European vision. With a deep love of reading and passion for her husband and family, in addition to writing, Ally loves travelling and photography, especially European road trips and voyages through Italy to Sicily, where she has close family ties. She adores nature and animals and is a life-long supporter of campaigns to protect wildlife, the environment and human rights. A late starter as a novelist, she aims to prove that it is never too late to pursue your dreams. Ally has a grown-up son and daughter and lives with her husband, dividing her time between northern Italy, England and Sicily. Her debut novel, A Case of Conviction, is set in the Hampshire countryside she loves and explores themes close to her heart: finding the strength to start afresh, the search for justice and the power of love.
