I truly enjoyed reading this story. One of the things that impressed me the most is how completely the narration was able to capture and portray the emotional and mental state of a young woman grappling with a surprising new understanding of the world. The internal dialog was well balanced as she moves through the complex emotional turmoil that her discovery engendered. An overall fast-paced novel, Flight is a great exploration of the power of mental/ spiritual growth and it's opposing forces in the world that cling to the status-quo. I'm looking forward to reading more of Rings's works.
At first I was skeptical if I would be drawn to this reading. As I dove into Olivia's story it became harder and harder to put the book down. The courage, adventure, and spirituality that she embodies is truly inspiring. Upon finishing the book I realized that my mind had tapped into a deeper truth about life. I feel inspired to fly, be myself, and follow my heart!
This book was sooo REALISTIC even though it fantasy. It really makes you wonder what we really ARE capable of doing... they say we haven't even TOUCHED the surface of utilizing most of our brain.... WHAT IF WE COULD/DID!!!!???
